Of course, as beneficial as a sleek new interface is, we need some new sounds, too, and we get everything from trap bass to ambient synth pads. I’ve been a fan of Analog Lab for a while, and I think it was always pretty user-friendly anyway, but the Play View will be great for beginners and anyone who spends more time trying to craft the perfect sound than playing. As part of the release day announcement, Arturia also revealed that existing Analog Lab V and Intro users would get a free update, giving them access to the minimalist Play View within their current version. The concept behind Analog Lab Play is in the name it’s about playing, immediate access, and immediate creativity.Īlthough Analog Lab Play is a freebie, it seems that Arturia is heavily invested in the Play concept. This simplified approach might reduce some elements of complete control for some users, but a simple approach often gives us more creative freedom as we’re less likely to get in our own way. The simplified GUI features only the most essential macro controls for each preset, and like previous versions, browsing presets is easy. With that in mind, the question is, why do we need another version? Well, the new simplified interface appears to hold the answer.Īrturia designed Analog Lab Play’s minimalist interface to provide quick and intuitive control over every sound. Given its popularity, I’m sure most of you know that this latest release isn’t the first free version on offer.Īnalog Lab Intro is a free, downsized version of Analog Lab V typically bundled with Arturia MIDI keyboard controllers (before that, it was Analog Lab Lite). The most significant news is the release of Analog Lab Play, a free and simplified version of Arturia’s virtual keyboard/synth collection.Īnalog Lab has been around for years (in various versions), and it remains a go-to source of authentic vintage keyboard/synth sounds for many musicians. On 31st October 2023, Arturia introduced a few important additions and updates to the Analog Lab family. There are hundreds of packs to choose from, covering different synthesis styles, music genres, and legendary artists.Arturia introduces Analog Lab Play, a FREE version of the production-standard Analog Lab plugin. If you’re looking for instant inspiration, whether it’s a classic synth patch or a modern electronic dance music sound, Arturia’s entry-level instrument plugin will surely deliver.Īnd if the included presets aren’t enough, you can always expand your sound collection using one of Arturia’s premium sound packs. The included presets can be edited using eight knobs that provide quick access to instrument and FX parameters.Īlthough it’s not a substitute for a virtual synthesizer, Analog Lab Intro is a fantastic performance and composition tool. The plugin sports a robust preset manager that lets you locate the perfect sound in no time. From analog synthesizers to revolutionary digital workstations, these are the sounds that made history.” “Analog Lab Intro gives you access to the most iconic synth and keyboard sounds of all time, taken from our 28 expertly-crafted V Collection instrument emulations. Analog Lab Intro is a powerful virtual instrument suite in its own right. Luckily, Analog Lab Intro provides a free taste of Arturia’s flagship software collection if you get it during this epic offer.Īnd it’s more than just a taste of a more extensive product. It’s easily one of the best virtual instrument collections on the market, but it’s also quite pricey. We recently reviewed Arturia’s stellar Arturia V Collection 9 instrument bundle. The collection is typically bundled with various hardware products and software packages, but you can currently get it for free via Audio Plugin Deals. If you are experiencing bothersome eye symptoms, eye pain or vision changes, call to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist at pink, red, yellow, blue, or spotty sclerae could be a sign of an underlying condition. The National Institutes of Health is also funding a National Eye Institute study on long COVID-19, which seeks to understand the symptoms that may develop in many organ systems, including the eye. The research team at the Truhlsen Eye Institute is currently conducting studies on the long-term impact of COVID-19 on the eyes. Research is ongoing, including right here in Omaha. The impact of long COVID-19 and its implications are still unfolding. "If you have tested positive for COVID and have eye symptoms such as swelling or redness, apply cool compresses, wash your hands frequently and avoid touching or rubbing your eye." Long COVID and eye symptoms "Your ophthalmologist will perform a full eye exam with an assessment of visual acuity, slit lamp microscope and dilated fundus examination," says Dr. These symptoms could indicate a viral infection or other problem that may need treatment. If you are experiencing eye pain, significant redness or decreased vision, consult an eye doctor. "While COVID case numbers have improved over time, vigilance and precautions are needed to protect one's health from COVID and other viruses such as influenza," says Dr. Research also indicates it may be more common in people with severe cases of COVID-19. Although pink eye seems to be one of the more common eye symptoms, it occurs in a low percentage of people. It's important to note that while eye symptoms have been reported in relation to positive COVID-19 cases, it is uncommon for it to be the only symptom. When the eyes are exposed to the virus, a person can develop conjunctivitis symptoms, often appearing like pink eye. Most often, eye symptoms are associated with systemic symptoms of COVID, including the typical features of the respiratory illness we're familiar with including cough, fever, and fatigue." "This can sometimes lead to conjunctivitis, an inflammation of the clear membrane on the eye's surface. "Our research group has found that the virus is found in the eye's tear film," says Steven Yeh, MD, Nebraska Medicine ophthalmologist. Although we are still learning how the virus may affect the eyes, we know that some people experience inflammation which can cause mild to severe problems in numerous areas of the body. The term "COVID eye" has been floating around online when people search for answers about eye symptoms. Knowing whether or not specific symptoms are entirely due to the COVID-19 infection – or something else – can be a challenge.Īt the Nebraska Medicine Truhlsen Eye Institute, research is ongoing as we seek to understand the short-term and long-term effects of how the virus may affect our eye health. There's still much to learn, including if there is a connection between the virus and eye symptoms. While some may develop no symptoms, others may experience severe illness. People respond to the infection in different, and sometimes strange, ways. Since the pandemic's start, we've learned a great deal about the COVID-19 virus and its impact. 1/5/2024 0 Comments Los angeles vicinity mapThe staff gracefully move throughout the room with intention. There’s something about the pageantry of uniformed waiters and bartenders wearing white or red jackets, but their skill and dedication are why management embroiders the number of years employed on their shirt cuffs. While walking in, take a quick glimpse into the loud kitchen and observe the slightly faded chandeliers, wall light sconces, 1930s art, wood paneling, or even the customers who might be casually dressed or donning a tuxedo before settling into a red leather banquette or the bar. Head to the retro car-filled parking lot before descending into the nearly 104-year-old restaurant. If driving or walking near Hollywood Boulevard and Cherokee Avenue, look for the green sign that signals your arrival to Musso & Frank Grill. After one visit, one will easily understand why LA diners followed Rankin from his former Bar Restaurant and right into Bar Chelou. If a table isn’t available, the bar is an ideal place to take in the room and watch diners obsess over dishes expedited to their table. There’s barely a bone in sight, with an herby pil pil sauce laced over a bed of rice. The rich and salty clam toast is decadently messy, but the confident execution with the trout makes it a must-order. One wouldn’t expect the carrots râpées with coconut dressing, a hint of lime, peanuts, and thin fried potatoes on top of shredded carrots to be a showstopper, but it is. The menu includes plenty of dishes to show off Rankin’s skill with vegetables alongside bone-in pork chops or a dry-aged bone-in ribeye. By utilizing the region’s produce in this endeavor, this Pasadena restaurant is one of this year’s sleeper hits. Though many often mistake Bar Chelou’s menu for French, chef Doug Rankin clearly loves Spanish, Californian, and Asian flavors. I point this out, because I think too many elites get stuck in the mindset that we MUST be upgraded and when we wind up in our originally booked rooms we cry foul. Of course, they could have been taken in the course of my drive and again…holiday weekend. Not surprising and I don’t fault them, but at the same time I could have sworn there had been some oceanfront rooms still available that morning when I checked in Orlando. Unfortunately, there was no upgrade and I got the room that I booked. Apparently the rooms are a mixture of both indoor and outdoor entrances, with mine opening up to a courtyard. My room was located on the 3rd floor of the western building (the resort is made up of the main 1920s building and adjacent buildings on either side). This Is What Greets You After Leaving The Lobby…Beautiful! Either way, I got my key and made my way towards my room, 325. As for an upgrade, I didn’t ask since it was a holiday weekend, but they made no mention of one. Usually you just wind out paying out the same as everyone else. I’ve stayed at other resorts with free WiFi and had not seen that before. However, since Gold/Diamond gets WiFi for free, they do at least discount the $25/night resort charge for $15/night, so I will at least hand them that. Actually, probably shouldn’t expect any of the benefits either while it wasn’t offered and I forgot to ask while checking in, I did not get my Diamond welcome benefit as part of the MyWay Choices other than my 1000 HHonors points. This was my first Waldorf Astoria stay, but from what I had read online is that more or less don’t expect anything extra. Check in was relatively quick, but no apparent recognition as a HHonors Diamond member. Perhaps since it was nearly 6PM, many other holiday beach-going vacationers had already checked in, so I walked to the first agent, who I felt bad for because she looked incredibly sun-burned. As I was gathering my belongings though, the valet asked me if it had been a long drive, to which I responded “Yeah, all the way from Panama City”, to which I got a surprised look and him saying “I thought perhaps Miami!” Comeon, Miami is only 3-5 hours away (3 according to Google Maps, 5 based on my actual driving time) that’s hardly a long drive! That wouldn’t be my first conversation like that during the course of my one-night stay in Key West.Ĭhecking in wasn’t too chaotic. The valet was quick to rush over and grab my key and I was making my way to check in. By the time I pulled up to the valet drop off at the Casa Marina, I was ready to get a beer in my hand and into a hammock as quick as possible. So, I made the journey from Orlando, and for the most part it was a nice drive, but thanks to everyone else heading to the Keys for the 4th of July, that meant it took longer than anticipated to get there. I had stopped in Orlando the night before, because driving non-stop from Panama City Beach is just crazy talk if you don’t stop along the way, it’s approximately a 12 hour drive. 1/5/2024 0 Comments Brave words lpLong recognised as one of New Zealand's most influential bands, Brave Words is a shining example of their unique sound and has been praised as a masterpiece by critics and fans alike.
